The existence of counterfeit goods constitutes a particularly harsh and damaging form of unfair competition, which has taken epidemic proportions at a global level because, among other things, the cost of advertising and forwarding authentic products is enormous.
The problem of product counterfeiting can be treated at its root, with four basic methods of research:
- Undercover investigation
- Alleged consumer
- Surveillance
- Identification
This form of fraud is catastrophic for both businesses and consumers overwhelmed by dubious products, often putting at risk even their own health.
